Piton dre la Fournaise
(La Réunion, France) (1995)

A hellish landscape, coloured by ash and fire.
Le Dolomieu with its blackish striations, swells up and looms over the huge space that forms "L'enclos", where the small cone ironicallt called "Formica Leo" lies. The "Lion Ant" whoses eye longs for an eruption.

On the edge of the Dolomieu, it becomes difficult to focus in the chaos of shapeless blocks and long streams of lava, which seem to have been mixed by the devil himself. One can't forget the lava tunnel whose ceiling is covered with filaments, like the petrified haoir of a negress, who lost her way in this Bourbon island, filled with vanilla and sugar cane fragrance.
